Youth In-house hockey in Lancaster, PA

A Dream Realized. A Community Empowered. A Game for Everyone.

At Regency Ice Rink, we believe every child deserves the chance to step onto the ice — regardless of financial barriers.

That belief is now becoming reality.

Introducing ME HOCKEY — A FREE Youth Ice Hockey Program for Lancaster

Founded on a lifelong dream of rink owner Ray Ferry, ME HOCKEY is designed to open the doors of opportunity and introduce new skaters to the greatest game on earth — under the banner of USA Hockey.

Ray has dedicated more than four decades to growing youth hockey in our community, with involvement locally since 1985 and at the national level since 1995. ME HOCKEY represents the next chapter of that commitment: removing the cost barrier so more families can experience the sport.

100% FREE. 100% COMMUNITY DRIVEN.

The first 200 registered participants will receive:

  • Full ice time access
  • Complete protective equipment
  • Skates, sticks, and jerseys
  • Weekly on-ice instruction
  • Team placement and games
  • A fun, safe, beginner-friendly environment

Every session is designed to help new players learn to skate, build confidence, develop fundamental skills, and most importantly — fall in love with hockey.
There is no cost to participate.

The Regency Ice Rink is donating all ice time and equipment to launch this program. With the support of volunteer coaches and dedicated hockey families, each participant will receive a true, full hockey experience.

Who Can Register?

  • Open to new players only
  • Must not be currently registered in another hockey program
  • Limited to the first 200 participants

This initiative is built specifically for families who may not otherwise have access to ice hockey due to the upfront costs of equipment and ice time.

Building More Than Players — Building the Future

ME HOCKEY is just the beginning. The long-term vision includes establishing nonprofit status to allow community partners and donors to help expand the program, grow into older age groups, and create sustainable opportunities for Lancaster youth.

This isn’t just about hockey.
It’s about access.
It’s about community.
It’s about giving kids a place to belong.
